Becky Black

Chapel Staff

To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of working with Pastor Reg Genter at The Chapel in Sandusky, Ohio, for over eight years.  I first met him when I joined the church in 2001 and then attended his Foundations Serve Class in 2002. The class was full of great information, teaching me what my gifts were and where I would best fit in service.  I quickly became connected and involved in many ministries at The Chapel after this class.  Personal consultations are given to every attendee at the end of this class.  I now serve as one of the consultants.  We are well instructed in this service and given copies of the person’s  gifts and personality charts.

Before accepting my position on staff at The Chapel, I worked closely with Pastor Reg on the “First Serve” project.  First Serve allows people to try out a ministry (or several ministries) before committing to it.  It was very successful and is still used at The Chapel today.

I joined the church staff as administrative assistant to Community Services in December 2007.  It’s been a blessing and a joy to work with Pastor Reg and the other staff.  I do not report directly to Pastor Reg; but as North Campus Pastor, he is a great resource for us.  He gathers us for the monthly North Campus Meeting where we share and pray for the whole office team.  He is a great asset to our church, and he will be missed greatly.  He is always warm, friendly, helpful, and encouraging.

Pastor Reg has also been instrumental in my spiritual growth with his weekly messages.  His sermons are easy to understand and are delivered in a way that holds your attention.  He always teaches in a way that helps you apply God’s Word to your life.  I know I will continue to follow his sermon messages through his next church’s website.

Sincerely,
