Elder at The Chapel

It is a privilege to recommend Roland Genter (“Reg”) for a position as a Pastor. I have known Reg for just a little under twenty years. Reg has served as the Associate Pastor at The Chapel in Huron, Ohio, where my family has regularly attended. I have also worked together with Reg on the Elder Board. I have watched Reg grow as a husband, father, teacher and follower of Christ. He is a man of great integrity and character.

As I reflect over the past twenty years, Reg was an integral part of a great work God has done at The Chapel. In those twenty years, The Chapel’s regular attendance has tripled, and hundreds of people have come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior or taken steps closer to God, closer to each other, and closer to freedom in Christ.

Reg has grown tremendously in his teaching from the pulpit. He has emerged from someone who appeared uncomfortable in front of a group to now have “presence.” His messages are solid and challenging. My spiritual life and journey have been impacted by Reg’s teaching.  Reg has also taught Foundations-Serve, which is designed to help Christians not only understand everyone has a gift which God gave to edify the Kingdom, but helping each person find that gift.  Reg is passionate about assisting Christians find “their sweet spot” and using that gift for the glory of God.

Reg has a servant’s heart. He is the guy hanging electrical wire for a church construction project, troubleshooting IT issues, and assembling and working beside a team for building new stage backdrops or props.

Reg passionately guards the unity of the church. Reg often was the point person to deal with difficult situations which could have created division; and he handled it with grace, conviction and courage. Reg successfully tackled a number of such circumstances.

Reg would be a valuable asset to a church which is seeking to grow, encourage people in their journey with Christ, and find their giftedness. I highly recommend my friend and co-worker for the Kingdom, Reg Genter, for a Pastoral position.

Very Truly Yours,
