Letter of Recommendation – Reg Genter

Over 15 years ago, God blessed our family by leading us to The Chapel. It didn’t take long for my kids (middle school age) and us to know that Reg’s sermons resonated deeply for us, and we looked forward to them during the week. It was at a Welcome Luncheon at Reg and Cesca’s home for newcomers to the church that we got to know Pastor Reg and his wife, one on one. Over the past 15 years, Reg and Cesca have grown to be more than our pastor and wife. A friendship blossomed between our families, and we are proud to call the Genters our good friends.

Pastor Reg is a humble leader who possesses many talents. Dear to his heart is helping people discover their spiritual gifts and facilitating them to embrace how God made them. He supports them in choosing where their gifts can become realized in the body of Christ. My husband and I both took his Spiritual Gifts Class many moons ago, and to this day it comes to mind and guides me in my choices.

Reg is an anointed teacher. He makes the Word come alive and pricks your heart to action, often providing you with a simple analogy that reminds you throughout your week (and life) of the lessons God wants us to learn or actions God expects from us. One example that I have used to comfort people an endless number of times was about a Parade on Memorial Day. In a nutshell, we only see the float in front of us, but God sees the entire parade. Don’t worry about what was before or what is yet to come. Just know you can trust Him while you are in the presence of the float (trial) in front of you.

I also want to mention a few other skills I’ve seen in Reg’s “skill box.” Reg is a talented audio/visual, computer guy. He plays guitar and joins the worship team at times. He was there helping to build our church, tool belt and all. He has an incredible servant’s heart. He is a gentle leader and always, always exhibits the gifts of the Spirit. He is gentle and kind. He is patient and able to always change his plans if someone needs him. He takes no credit for all the great things he has done for our church, my kids, or myself. He always, always wants the glory to be God’s. He is the most forgiving man I know and a wonderful father.

You will be hard-pressed to find a man like Reg Genter! He is a man of prayer who covets the prayers of his friends and church members. He is a Spirit-led man who is always grateful for our love, support and prayers.

Your brother and sister in Christ,
