 Chapel Staff/Celebrate Recovery

To whom it may concern,

I count it a privilege to know and to have worked with and for Pastor Reg Genter.  I joined The Chapel in 2005 where Pastor Reg was one the three pastors, and since then I have had the opportunity to watch him step into several different roles.

Early on I participated in one of the Foundation classes taught by Reg, a class on finding your place in ministry by identifying your spiritual gifts.  I’m certain this class is at the core of why The Chapel has a higher than normal ratio of volunteers to members.  Reg’s heart for serving others is evident in the way he teaches and explains to others just exactly what it means to serve the body of Christ.

In 2011 I became part of the church staff and had a front row seat to watch Reg and the elder board work towards establishing a multi-site church. Reg was part of the team that put forth great effort in prayer, planning, and hard physical labor to make that huge undertaking a success.  He championed the many “Heartbeat of The Chapel” videos that kept the church members apprised of each step of the process.  His ability to set the stage and deliver the information was key to helping the members become and stay committed to the vision.

As the Chapel became a multi-site, Reg moved into yet another role, the role of North Campus pastor.  This new role as campus pastor put him over the care and encouragement for nearly forty staff members.  Though I worked for him, it has always felt as though I worked beside him. His ability to put people at ease and encourage them is a gift that he uses generously.

He and his wife Cesca have opened their home and their hearts to staff members, members of the church, and many of the youth ministries.  Their ministry to others goes beyond the church walls and even the walls of their home as they have been part of giving to others in our community through several outreach programs.

I count it a great joy to know them both.  I believe that Reg and Cesca will be more than just an asset or good addition to any ministry;  I believe they will bring joy, a spirit of service and of generosity that is born of a heart that loves Christ and truly loves the people He loves.

Sincerely,
